A couple of local cross country standouts are contributing to Heidelberg University’s success on the course this season.
Benjamin Logan graduate Logan Leis (pictured) finished 37th in 28:46.4 at the Otterbein Invitational on September 22nd. The Heidelberg men placed first.
For the Heidelberg women, Triad graduate Bobbi Custer finished 9th with a time of 19:29.2.
Heidelberg traveled to Cedarville for the All-Ohio Cross Country Championships on Saturday.
Leis helped Heidelberg capture 12th in Division III. He contributed a time of 27:23.
Custer recorded a time of 19:56 to help the women's team claim 15th.
Heidelberg will travel to Terre Haute, Indiana to compete at Pre-Nationals this Saturday.
Leis graduated from Benjamin Logan in 2010 and Custer graduated from Triad in 2009.
