The Bellefontaine 7th grade football team defeated Indian Lake 22-16 Tuesday night.
Mitchel Smith had touchdown runs of 65 and 50 yards. Trea Stahler scampered 45 yards for a touchdown.
The entire team shined on defense.
The Chiefs are 6-0 and travel to Urbana next week.
For Indian Lake, Connor Dixon had another excellent game with an 81-yard touchdown run, a 2-yard TD, and a two-point conversion. Andrew Moran added a two-point conversion.
Cole Mefford sparked the defense with multiple fumble recoveries.
The Lakers (3-3) will visit Northridge next Tuesday at 5:30.
The Benjamin Logan 7th grade team handled Urbana 42-0.
Mason Plikerd, Presten Cozad, and Cole Houser had touchdowns.
Plikerd, Devin Coy, and Grant Ward scored conversions.
Bryden Penhorwood and Hunter Niece anchored the defense.
The Raiders next opponent is Graham.
The Benjamin Logan 8th grade football team blanked Urbana 30-0.
Coaches said it was a solid team effort on both sides of the ball.
