Lady Chiefs rally past Kenton Ridge - Volleyball scoreboard

A few area volleyball teams hit the court Wednesday night.

The Bellefontaine varsity team rallied past host Kenton Ridge 23-25, 16-25, 30-28, 25-22, 15-10.

Junior Kameren Haley led the effort with 25 kills and 2 blocks, Jazmyn Haley recorded 12 kills and 4 blocks, Kenzie Brunswick tallied 10 kills and 2 blocks, Whitney Rader had 5 kills and 2 blocks, and Peighton Wagoner delivered 6 kills and 1 block.

Jaelyn Jester had 35 assists and Jordan Lininger added 17 assists. Shelbi Kauffman had 26 digs and Jessica Kinchen tallied 22 digs.

Rader and Carley Strzalka were perfect serving.

The Chiefs are 13-6 overall.

The JV Chiefs lost 12-25, 10-25.

The freshman team lost in straight games.

Bellefontaine will visit Riverside on Monday.

Jr. High:

The Benjamin Logan 7th grade team outlasted Indian Valley 26-24, 13-25, 27-25.

McKinzie Jones was 11-for-11 serving with 6 aces, 3 assists, 3 tips, and 2 kills, Madison Jones was 16-for-18 serving with 2 aces, Stanleigh Archer was 9-for-10 serving with 2 aces, 2 kills, 1 assist, 1 tip, and 1 block, Kennedy Richards was 12-for-14 serving with 2 aces and 1 dig, Brooke Cotner recorded 1 ace, 1 kill, and 1 tip, Josselyn Terry had an ace, Avery Braun delivered a kill, and Makala Paugh added a dig.

The Benjamin Logan 8th grade team swept Indian Valley 25-14, 25-10.

Betsy King was 15-of-15 serving with 5 aces, Hayley Boysel was 9-for-10 serving with 4 aces, and Addie Rodenberger was 7-for-7 serving.

King was 11-of-11 setting, Brianna Frazier was 7-of-8 setting, and Boysel tallied 5 kills. Darian Rockhold and Rodenberger each had a block.

The Lady Raiders are 14-3. They will host Bellefontaine and Indian Lake Saturday in a Volley for the Cure match.

The Indian Lake 7th grade team defeated Northwestern 25-21, 25-18.

Lauren Anderson was 15-for-17 serving with 8 aces. Jenni Kaffenbarger, Libby Cotterman, and Aubrey Grider each added 3 aces. Terrin Bok and Anderson were strong on serve receive.

The Indian Lake 8th grade team edged Northwestern 15-25, 25-18, and 25-19.

Olivia Amspaugh had 6 aces, Courtney Runkle recorded 5 aces, and Sammi Miller and Morgan Evilsizor each tallied 5 kills. Victoria Wauben, Katelyn Hogan, and Amspaugh had a strong night passing.

The Bellefontaine 7th grade team fell to Northridge 10-25, 25-13, and 15-25.

Kelli Daisy had 11 points, Mady Stratton recorded 6 points, and Kiersten King added 5 points.
