West Liberty-Salem volleys past Greeneview, Benjamin Logan rolls

Several area volleyball teams were on the court Thursday.

The West Liberty-Salem varsity team defeated Greeneview in 5 sets: 23-25, 25-20, 25-12, 18-25, and 15-10.

Jamie Peterson recorded 17 kills, 3 blocks, and 10 digs, Kylee Hormann tallied 17 kills, 6 digs, Courtney Milliron contributed 17 digs, and Rachel Ritter added 4 aces.

The varsity Lady Tigers improve to 10-8 on the season.

The JV Lady Tigers beat Greeneview in 3 sets: 20-25, 25-13, and 25-23.

The Benjamin Logan varsity team beat Northwestern in 4 sets: 25-9, 25-9, 23-25, and 25-13.

Ciarra Wirick produced 20 kills, 5 blocks, 14 points, and 11 digs, Alex Thompson recorded 23 points, 8 kills and 3 blocks, and Marissa Wilbur contributed 35 assists.

The varsity Lady Raiders improve to 18-2 overall and 8-0 in the league.

The Benjamin Logan JV squad defeated Northwestern in 2 sets: 25-13 and 25-21.

Jessica Sosby had 17 points and 11 digs, Madison Mahan and Katie Bisel each recorded 7 kills, and Tayler Rose added 13 assists.

The JV Lady Raiders improve to 14-3. 

Benjamin Logan will host Graham Tuesday.

The Indian Lake varsity team defeated Graham in 4 sets: 17-25, 25-22, 25-14, and 25-16.

Senior Claire Maier delivered 33 assists, breaking the school record for career assists.

Sydney Miller fired 6 aces, Allison Knief ripped 5 aces, Brooke Defibaugh produced 12 digs.

The Indian Lake JV lost to Graham in 2 sets.

Riverside lost to Upper Scioto Valley in 4 sets: 20-25, 25-19, 25-13, and 25-14.

Kerri Meade recorded 11 kills and 2 block assists, Brooke Hickey delivered 14 assists, and Morgan Robison added 11 digs.

The Riverside JV fell in 3 sets.
