A couple area boys’ golf teams competed in district tournaments at Weatherwax in Middletown Thursday.
In Division III, West Liberty-Salem finished 4th with a score of 345.
Nicks Sims shot a 75 and after 4 playoff holes earned an individual spot in the state tournament. He'll play in Sunbury next week.
Jacob Rutan carded an 81, Ethan McBean tallied an 87, and Casey Gay added a 102.
Benjamin Logan ended their season finishing 4th in Division II with a 337.
Blaine Ricketts fired a 79, Jordan Sosby and Grant Ricketts each shot an 83, Cole Saylor carded a 92, and Ed Kenoyer added a 99.
The top two teams at the district qualify for state.
