The Benjamin Logan Lady Raider volleyball team is one win away from a perfect CBC record after defeating visiting Graham in three sets (25-11, 25-16, and 25-17) Tuesday night.
Raider coach Allison Reule’s pre-match strategy focused on Falcon senior hitter Michala Faulkner. The plan was to have a blocker in front of her throughout the match. It worked; Faulkner finished with just 4 kills.
Senior setter Marissa Wilbur (pictured right), who entered the match third in the Miami Valley in assists with 540, added another 27 Tuesday. She was the top server with 18 points.
Also for the Raiders, junior Alex Thompson had ten kills and five blocks, senior Ciarra Wirick recorded ten blocks and nine points, and junior Jennifer Poling had fourteen points, four aces, and three kills.
