A few area volleyball teams were in action Wednesday night.
The Bellefontaine varsity team fell at Tipp City 14-25, 19-25, and 23-25.
Shelbi Kauffman had 18 digs, Kameren Haley recorded 8 kills, Kenzie Brunswick tallied 7 kills, Jazmyn Haley blasted 6 kills, and Peighton Wagoner added 4 kills.
Jaelyn Jester delivered 14 assists.
Carley Strzalka, Jordan Lininger, Jessica Kinchen, and Whitney Rader were perfect serving.
The Chiefs are 13-8. They open tournament play Saturday night against Graham at Tecumseh High School. Game time is 6:30.
The JV Chiefs fell to the Red Devils 25-16, 20-25, and 17-25.

The Bellefontaine 8th grade team lost to Tecumseh 11-25, 20-25 in the opening round of the CBC tournament.
Maddie Stout, McKenzie Smith, and Haylee Pequignot were the top servers.
Emily Fulmer and Kaylee Mitchell added strong net play.
The Bellefontaine 7th grade team dropped their tournament match to Springfield Shawnee in three games. The scores were 12-25, 25-23, and 16-25.
Kiersten King had 9 points, Mady Stratton recorded 6 points, and Julie Downing and Kelli Daisy each tallied 4 points.
The Benjamin Logan 7th grade team fell to Tecumseh 23-25, 24-26 in their first tournament game.
Stanleigh Archer had 6 kills, 3 aces, and 2 assists, Josselyn Terry recorded 4 aces, McKinzie Jones tallied 6 assists, 3 aces, 2 kills, and 2 tips, and Madison Jones added 3 aces and 1 kill.
Archer, Terry, Brooke Cotner, and Kennedy Richards were perfect serving.
