West Liberty-Salem standout Nick Sims competed in the Division III state golf tournament at North Star Resort in Sunbury Friday and Saturday.
Sims shot a 78 on Friday to finish tied for 7th place.
He followed up with an 88 on Saturday to end up the weekend in 28th.
Gates Mills Gilmour Academy senior Andrew Bieber shot a 73-71 to win the title.
