The Mac-O-Chee Quarter Midget Racing Association hosted the 5th leg of the Friday Night Shootout Series last weekend at Lions Park in West Liberty.
On Friday, Taylor McConahay edged Morgan Hamby by a bumper to win the Red Rookies class. Erin Hamby placed 3rd and Baylee Howard was 4th. In the Blue Rookie class Zach Stevens captured 1st, Tom Stevens finished 2nd, and Cody Stevens 3rd. Wyatt Pelfrey won the Junior Honda race, JJ Donnaker finished 2nd, Taylor Gruss claimed 3rd, and Hayden Wren placed 4th. Hunter Bostater got his first Senior Honda class win beating Zach McConahay, Logan Pelfrey, Travis Staup, and Hunter Lynch. Austin Bostater won the Heavy Honda race. In the Light 160 race, Zach McConahay captured the checkered flag over Hunter Lynch and Travis Staup.
Saturday marked another leg of the Weekly Points Series. In the Red Rookie Class, Taylor McConahay took the win. Gage Evans took 2nd, Jayden Bogner 3rd, Baylee Howard 4th, Brooklyn Tilton 5th, and Quinn Peterson 6th. Tom Stevens won the Blue Rookies race over Cody and Zach Stevens. Junior Honda was captured by Wyatt Pelfrey. Luke Lemmons finished 2nd, JJ Donnaker 3rd, Hayden Wren 4th, and Taylor Gruss 5th. The Senior Honda class was won by Logan Pelfrey. Hunter Bostater came in 2nd and Austin Powell 3rd. Austin Bostater was credited with the Heavy Honda win. Light 160 saw Hunter Lynch take the checkered flag. Bradley Ashford claimed 2nd, Tyler Meyer 3rd, Zachary McConahay 4th, Austin Powell 5th, and Travis Staup 6th. Logan McPherson won the World Formula race and Daniel McPherson was 2nd. Tyler Meyer was credited with the Light World Formula win.
