The Benjamin Logan varsity volleyball team (pictured) lost in three close sets to Urbana in the Division II sectional final at Tecumseh Thursday.
The scores were 23-25, 24-26, 26-28.
Ciarra Wirick had 8 kills and 3 solo blocks, Kylee Smith recorded 7 kills and 18 digs, Courtney Stewart had 11 digs, and Alex Thompson delivered 9 kills and 3 blocks. Marissa Wilbur dished out 28 assists.
The Raiders went 22-3 this fall.
Benjamin Logan swept Urbana in the regular season.
The Hillclimbers will play the Alter vs. Talawanda winner in the district final next Saturday at Kettering Fairmont.
In the other Division II sectional final Thursday, Tecumseh outlasted Springfield Shawnee 22-25, 25-17, 25-23, 13-25, and 15-9.
In Division IV, Mechanicsburg swept Newton 25-14, 25-17, 25-16.
Ft. Loramie handled Bethel 25-6, 25-8, 25-8.
