The Mac-O-Chee Quarter Midget Racing Association hosted the final outdoor race weekend of the season at Lions Park in West Liberty.
The Friday Night Shootout Series was rained out. When the final points were calculated, Wyatt Pelfrey of Urbana was named the 2012 Champion for Junior Honda. His older brother Logan Pelfrey is the 2012 Champion for Senior Honda. Hunter Lynch was crowned the 2012 Champion for Light 160.
On Saturday, Mac-O-Chee raced another leg of the Weekly Points Series.
Gage Evans won the Red Rookie feature race, Taylor McConahay followed, and Jayden Bogner finished 3rd.
Tom Stevens captured the Blue Rookie feature race, Mini-Indy driver Koulten Herbert finished 2nd, and Cody Stevens earned 3rd.
Wyatt Pelfrey of Urbana took home the checkered flag in Junior Honda, Hayden Wren of DeGraff was runner-up, and Taylor Gruss of Mendon was third.
Zachary McConahey won the Senior Honda race, Logan Pelfrey was hot on his bumper finishing a close second, and Hunter Bostater rounded out the top three.
Austin Bostater was credited with the Heavy Honda win.
Tyler Meyer captured the Light 160 feature, Austin Powell was second, and Zachary McConahay placed third.
Daniel McPherson won the Heavy World Formula race. Mikey McConahay was second.
Tyler Meyer raced to a first-place finish in the Light Formula race.
On Sunday, Mac-O-Chee hosted the final Weekly Points Series event of the season.
Brooklyn Tilton set a track record in the Red Rookie feature.
Jayden Bogner raced to a win in the Red Rookie feature, which was his first win at Mac-O-Chee. Tilton was a close second and Taylor McConahay was third.
Blue Rookie and Mini-Indy driver Koulten Herbert set a track record and made a clean sweep by winning the heat and feature races. Cody Stevens finished second after flipping his car in the heat race. Zach Stevens rounded out the top three positions.
In the Junior Honda, Wyatt Pelfrey was able to make a clean sweep, winning fast time qualifier, heat, and feature. Hayden Wren from DeGraff finished second and Jacob Denney was third.
Zachary McConahay won the Senior Honda for the second straight day. Hunter Bostater finished second and Austin Powell was third.
Hunter Lynch took the checkered flag in the Light 160. Zachary McConahay was second and Austin Powell placed third.
Gunnar Lucius was the fastest in the Heavy World Formula race, followed by Daniel McPherson and Mikey McConahay.
Tyler Meyer was the Light World Formula feature winner.
The season concluded with a very special Senior Half race, featuing the racers' parents.
Five parents competed. Jeff Wren was first, Dan Stevens earned second, Jen Pelfrey was third, Keith Tilton placed fourth, and Bobby Howard was fifth.
