A former West Liberty-Salem volleyball standout has received recognition on the collegiate level.
Paige Parker (pictured), a junior at the College of Wooster, was named to 2012 North Coast Athletic Conference second-team.
Parker received the all-NCAC selection after ranking second in the conference for kills with 3.43 per set. Her 415 kills are the third most by a Wooster player during the 25-point scoring era. She totaled 15 kills or more in 11 matches this season, including a career-high 24 against Muskingum University, while tallying a career-best .222 hitting percentage along the way. Parker was also a significant defensive contributor with 301 digs, allowing her to post 11 double-doubles (kills/digs) on the year.
