The Bellefontaine Lady Chieftains won the first annual Perfection Group Tip-Off Tournament by beating Waynesfield-Goshen 69-62 Saturday night at Wapakoneta.
The game went back and forth for three quarters and the Lady Chiefs were able to stave off a fiery run by WG's senior standout guard Kaylee Patton, who had a game-high 32 points.
Leading Bellefontaine was Brenda Johnson with 20 points and Regan Price with 10 points and six assists.
The Lady Chiefs (2-0) will visit Marysville Tuesday night.
Benjamin Logan fell to visiting North Union 56-43 in their season opener.
Jessica Yoder had 13 points and Ciarra Wirick added 12.
