Lady Raiders fall at Kenton; Chiefs roll in Jr. High

A few local basketball teams were in action Wednesday night.

The Benjamin Logan varsity girls fell at Kenton 59-54.

The first quarter was the difference as the Wildcats outscored the Raiders 18-8.

Benjamin Logan senior Ciarra Wirick had 11 points, 7 steals, and 6 assists.

Jessica Yoder scored 11 points and Domonique Johnson added 10 points.

Brooklyn Terrill grabbed 14 rebounds.

The Raiders are 0-3 overall and 0-1 in the CBC. They will host Tipp City next Wednesday.

The JV Raiders handled the Wildcats 46-21.

Natalie Drumm had 9 points.

The Bellefontaine 8th grade girls team defeated visiting Indian Valley 39-26 for their first win of the season.

Terra Knight had 14 points, 6 rebounds, and 4 steals.

Amarii Vickers recorded 11 points, 6 rebounds, and 6 steals.

Madeline Levine, Kassidy Sullivan, and Mercedes Brown each added 4 points.

The Bellefontaine 7th grade Lady Chiefs ran past Indian Valley 28-15.

Emily Mitchell scored a game-high 15 points.

Zoe Price tallied 8 points, 8 rebounds, and 7 steals.

McKenzie Haley collected 7 rebounds.

The entire team played strong defense.

The Chiefs (3-0) will visit Springfield Shawnee on Monday.
