The Bellefontaine Lady Chieftains improved to 4-0 on the season by beating host Springfield Shawnee 64-42.
Once again the Chieftains were able to use balanced scoring with a great defensive effort to get the win.
The Chiefs were led by Jazmyn Haley with 15 points and Whitney Rader with 10 points. Haley also added seven rebounds. Regan Price contributed six points, seven assists, and four steals.
The Lady Chieftains will be back in action Wednesday at Greenon with the JV contest starting at 6:00, Varsity at 7:30. For those going to the game, you are reminded that the Rocky Point Bridge to Greenon High School is closed. You will need to find an alternate route to get to Greenon.
Greeneview raced past West Liberty-Salem 77-44. Melany Ward tossed in 20 points for the Tigers (1-3).

Sam Miller had a game-high 15 points and 6 steals. Olivia Amspaugh added 6 points. Morgan Evilsizor had 4 points and Brooke Lewis and Kennedy Wallbrown each scored 2 points.
The Lakers are 1-2.
Jackson Center was led by Vanessa Winner with 12 points and Cassie Meyer added 9 points.

Botkins beat Mechanicsburg 64-51 to win their second straight Benjamin Logan Tip-Off Classic.
In the consolation game, Benjamin Logan surged past Riverside 55-38.
Dallas Daniels and Grant Miller each scored 9 points for the Pirates (0-2).
Wapakoneta defeated Indian Lake 59-37.
Lehman outscored Ridgemont 76-59.
The Gophers (0-2) were led by Cody Seiler with 16 points. Tyler Tillman dished out nine assists.
Waynesfield-Goshen beat Triad 65-53.
Minster edged Spencerville 55-54.
St. Henry knocked off Russia 59-50.
The Indian Lake 8th grade boys defeated Jackson Center 46-38.
Alex Jacobs led the Lakers with 18 points. Nate Kaffenbarger had 10 points and Tyler Reprogle added 9 points.
The Lakers are 1-0 and next play Indian Valley at home Monday.
The Bellefontaine 8th grade boys fell to Triad 45-41 in overtime.
Dawsin Tillman paced the Chiefs with 27 points. Clay Wisner scored 6 points and Jacob Miller added 4 points.
