Lady Raiders shoot past Tipp City - Basketball scoreboard

A few area basketball teams were in action last night.

The Benjamin Logan varsity girls team defeated visiting Tipp City 57-47.

The Raiders ran out to a 34-20 halftime lead.

Senior guard Jessica Yoder poured in a game-high 24 points, including three 3-pointers.

Ciarra Wirick had 14 points and 4 steals.

Marissa Wilbur grabbed 10 rebounds.

The Raiders are 1-3 overall. They will host Graham Saturday afternoon.

The JV Raiders fell 28-22.

Natalie Drumm tossed in 8 points.

Bellefontaine lost at Greenon 50-46.

The Knights outscored the Chiefs 21-15 in the final quarter.

The Chiefs shot 21 percent from the field and were 17-for-35 from the foul line.

Sajah Carter and Kameren Haley each scored 9 points. Whitney Rader collected 12 rebounds.

Bellefontaine outrebounded Greenon 39-19.

The Chiefs are 4-1. They will host Kenton Ridge Saturday. The JV game will start at 6:00.

Indian Lake beat Springfield Shawnee 59-51.

Kenton Ridge blasted Northwestern 93-42.

Tecumseh held off Urbana 60-48.

Jr. High:

The Benjamin Logan 8th grade girls team doubled up Indian Valley 44-22.

Darian Rockhold led all scorers with 19 points, Hayley Boysel had a triple-double with 18 points, 12 rebounds, and 11 steals, Addie Rodenberger dropped in 5 points, and Ashley Armstrong added 2 points.

The 7th grade Lady Raiders handled Indian Valley 50-13.

Nikki Current led the attack with 15 points. MacKenzie McManus, Jazzie McKeen, and Kenzie Jones each scored 8 points. Lexi Stewart had 5 points, Stevie Plikerd fired in 4 points, and Maddie Jones added 2 points.

Both Benjamin Logan teams are 3-0.

The Benjamin Logan 8th grade boys team beat Indian Valley 28-14.

The Raiders held Indian Valley to 4 points in the second half.

Trey Wilson was the leading scorer with 10 points. Joel Dixon and Austin Van Buskirk each poured in 9 points.

Guards Josh Whitten, Nick Brown, and Mitchell Fink delivered multiple assists.

The 7th grade Raiders edged Indian Valley 40-35 in overtime.

Grant Ward dropped in 15 points, Jake Henman tallied 10 points, and Hunter Niece added 6 points.
