Lady Chiefs run past Red Devils – Basketball scoreboard

Several area basketball teams were in action last night.

Varsity girls finals:

Bellefontaine beat visiting Tipp City 64-57 to snap a three-game losing streak.

It's been several years since the Chiefs defeated the Red Devils.

Junior Jazmyn Haley led the way with a double-double of 18 points and 10 rebounds, Regan Price recorded 16 points and 4 steals, Brenda Johnson scored 11 points, and Whitney Rader tallied 9 points and 13 rebounds.

Bellefontaine outrebounded Tipp City 42-23.

BHS is 5-3 overall and 2-1 in the CBC.

Tipp City is 2-5, 1-2.

The JV Chiefs fell 37-24.

Ashley Artis scored 13 points and Maddie Mitchell added 7 points.

Bellefontaine will host Urbana Wednesday night. The JV game will start at 6:00.

West Liberty-Salem defeated visiting Cedarville 64-35.

Lauren Godwin scored 13 points, Maria Daulton recorded 12 points and 5 assists, and Alandra Cox and Sydney Eggleston each added 10 points.

The Tigers improve to 3-4 overall and 2-2 in the OHC.

Indian Lake outscored visiting Jackson Center 56-41.

Haley Boberg paced the Lakers with 15 points. Claire Maier added 13.

Indian Lake is 5-4, 1-1.

Hannah Meyer led JC with 14 points.

The Tigers are 1-5.

Riverside fell at Waynesfield-Goshen 71-36.

Chelsea Giles led the Pirates with 9 points, Sam Egbert dropped in 7 points, and Mara Ledley and Brooke Hickey each added 6 points.

Waynesfield standout Kaylee Patton poured in 24 points.

The Pirates are 0-7, 0-2.

The JV Pirates lost 38-24.

Emily Teague scored 12 points.

Jr. High:

The West Liberty-Salem 8th grade girls team rallied past Greeneview 31-22.

The Tigers had a 15-2 run in the fourth quarter.

Kiana Reames and Mikaila McIntosh each had 8 points. Lily Yoder and Ashley Rabenstein each added 5 points.

The Tigers are 6-0.

The West Liberty-Salem 7th grade girls lost to Greeneview 21-18.

Jonni Parker scored 8 points and Aubrie Stillings had 6 points, 5 rebounds, and 5 steals.

The Tigers are 5-1 while the Rams improve to 7-0.

The Benjamin Logan 8th grade girls team stifled Northridge 33-17.

Darian Rockhold led the attack with 19 points and 8 rebounds, Hayley Boysel delivered 12 points and 9 steals, and MeKayla Waugh added 2 points.

The 7th grade Lady Raiders steamrolled Northridge 45-10.

Nikki Current scored 12 points, Lexi Stewart had a career-high 10 points, Jazzi McKeen tossed in 9 points, MacKenzie McManus tallied 5 points, and Taylor Keene added 4 points.

Both Benjamin Logan teams are 6-0. They will host Bellefontaine on Tuesday.

The Indian Lake 8th grade boys outscored Urbana 43-33 to move to 5-0.

Alex Jacobs had 14 points, Tyler Reprogle and Nate Kaffenbarger tossed in 8 points apiece, Dalton Faler scored 6 points, Jacob Brunson had 4 points, and Dylan Albright added 3 points.

The Lakers will visit Graham on Monday.

The Benjamin Logan 8th grade boys team defeated Northridge 40-35.

Joel Dixon had 11 points, including 4 key free throws in the fourth quarter, Trey Wilson and Austin VanBuskirk each added 9 points, and Corbin Adams gave a lift off the bench with great defense and 4 points.

The Raiders are 3-2.

The Benjamin Logan 7th grade boys team shot past Northridge 28-18.

Jake Henman scored 10 points and Presten Cozad tossed in 5 points.

The Raiders are 4-1.
