The Riverside varsity girls stifled visiting Springfield Catholic 38-19 for their first win of the season.
The Pirates held the Irish to 7 points through three quarters.
Brooke Hickey led Riverside with 17 points.
The Pirates are 1-8 overall and 0-2 in the NWCC.
The JV Pirates lost 29-28 in overtime.
Freshman Aubrey Stephens had a double-double with 10 points and 12 rebounds.
Teammate Abby Proffitt added 8 points.
Jr. High finals:
The Benjamin Logan 8th grade girls team beat Indian Lake 28-22.
Hayley Boysel had 12 points and Darian Rockhold tossed in 9 points.
For Indian Lake, Sam Miller recorded 13 points, 5 rebounds, and 3 steals, Morgan Evilsizor tallied 5 points, 6 rebounds, and 4 steals, and Katelyn Hogan added 2 points.
The Lakers are 4-6.
The Benjamin Logan 7th grade girls team blitzed Indian Lake 42-6.
The Raiders opened the game with a 24-0 run.
Nikki Current had 20 points, Mackenzie McManus tossed in 8 points, Madi Jones and Kinzie Jones each added 4 points, and Lauren LeVan, Taylor Keene, and Stevie Plikerd had 2 points apiece.
Both Benjamin Logan teams are 8-0. They will visit Urbana on January 7th.

Standout Alex Jacobs had 10 points, Nate Kaffenbarger scored 8 points, Tyler Reprogle dropped in 7 points, Dalton Faler had 4 points, Andrew Hulbert recorded 3 points, and Jesse Brown and Dylan Albright each added 2 points.
