The Strikezone Fillies 16U fastpitch softball team competed at the indoor tournament at The Sportzone in Indianapolis last weekend.
The team split pool games losing to the Kentucky Outrage 3-0 and beating the Louisville Battitude 9-3. The team then began tournament play by defeating the Venom 4-3 and the Gators 1-0. On Sunday the team fell in the semifinals of the 14-team tournament 4-0 to the Indiana Select.
Team members include Morgan and Macie Barnett of Indian Lake, Andrea and Michelle Hendricks of Urbana, Madison Tabor, Shelby Evans, Cassidy Moody, and Britani Shianne of Springfield High, Emily McKillip of Springfield Shawnee, Jessica McCombs of Southeastern, and Haley Keith of Northeastern.
The Fillies are coached by Pete Cook.
