Chiefs roll in bowling tri-match, WL-S bowls short

A few area bowling teams hit the lanes Friday.

The Bellefontaine varsity boys bowling team won a tri-match against Indian Lake and Wapakoneta at T-P Lanes.

Bellefontaine finished with 2,752 points, Wapakoneta tallied 2,601 points, and Indian Lake had 2,324 points.

For the Chiefs, Devin Legge fired a 443 series, Joey Jacobs shot a 427 series, Cody Hullinger recorded a 395 series, and Dylan Legge contributed a 194 game.

The Bellefontaine JV boys beat Indian Lake 1,898 to 1,750.

Adam Williams bowled a 352 series, Dalton Massey rolled a 306 series, and Caleb Wykstra had a 165 game.

The West Liberty-Salem varsity boys lost to Mechanicsburg 2,656 to 2,183.

For the Tigers, Phil Davis fired a 197 game, Austin Randall shot a 189 game, Garret Rudasill recorded a 171 game, Justin Dallas tallied a 152 game, and Brad Burt added a 131 game.

For Mechanicsburg, Corey Hosier bowled a 226 game, Timmy McMahill rolled a 214 game, Korey Arvin contributed a 210 game, Spenser Edwards tallied a 168 game, DJ Sanders totaled a 138 game, and Ross Parsons added a 129 game.

The West Liberty-Salem varsity girls fell to Mechanicsburg 2,434 to 2,116.

For the Lady Tigers, Codi McNutt bowled a 213 game, Megann Boyd shot a 165 game, Emily Crook contributed a 164 game, Sarah Eleyet totaled a 134 game, and Kelli Kendall added a 127 game.

For Mechanicsburg, Lauren Mayberry fired a 245 game, Hailey Shoemaker shot a 201 game, Erin Gaver tallied a 192 game, Katie Bush rolled a 168 game, and Emily Taylor added a 148 game.
