Tigers win seventh straight - Friday basketball scoreboard

Several area boys basketball teams were in action Friday night.

The West Liberty-Salem varsity nipped host Springfield Catholic 51-49 for their seventh straight win.

Landon Hormann paced the Tigers with 15 points. Max Bailey and Grant Burden each scored 11 points.

WLS is 7-1 overall and 5-0 in the OHC. They will host Bellefontaine tonight on 1390 WBLL.

The JV Tigers won 38-25. Brandon Adams led the attack with 12 points.

Indian Lake fell to visiting New Bremen 64-39.

Christian Grider had 14 points, Ivan Reichert dropped in 9 points, and Brennon Lump added 7 points.

The Lakers are 1-7 while the Cardinals move to 5-2.

Riverside lost to Troy Christian 57-29 in the Bradford Holiday Tournament.

Dalton Bollinger led the Pirates with 14 points.

Riverside (0-6) will play in the consolation game today.

The JV Pirates handled New Miami 61-37 in the same tournament.

Jesse Kean pumped in 20 points and Landon Kelsey added 14.

Kenton rallied in the fourth quarter to beat visiting Benjamin Logan 62-55.

The Wildcats outscored the Raiders 26-18 in the final eight minutes.

For Benjamin Logan, Dalton Greene scored a game-high 22 points and David Wenger added 15.

Benjamin Logan is 3-6; Kenton moves to 7-1.

The Raiders will host Upper Scioto Valley tonight.

Xenia ran past Graham 69-47.

Mechanicsburg defeated Triad 72-61.

Seth Donohoe led the Cardinals 12 points. Triad is 3-6 overall and 3-3 in the OHC.

Ada edged Kalida 44-42.

Lima Temple Christian stifled Pandora-Gilboa 51-38.

Tipp City beat visiting Sidney 62-55.

The Red Devils are 7-1; the Yellow Jackets are 1-7.

Ft. Loramie nipped host Jackson Center 48-46. The Tigers are 6-1; the Redskins are 4-3.

Fairlawn outscored host Parkway 59-47 in the Parkway Holiday Tournament.

The Jets (8-0) will play in the championship game tonight against Finneytown.

Minster handled Houston 67-49.

Madison Plains beat Northwestern 49-33.

New Knoxville knocked off St. Marys 58-49.

Ottawa-Glandorf shot past Archbold 52-41.

The Riverside girls’ basketball teams traveled to Bradford for a holiday tournament Friday afternoon.

The varsity Lady Pirates fell to Carlisle 45-34.

Brooke Hickey scored 9 points and Monica Hurley and Chelsea Giles each added 6 points.

Riverside (1-9) will play in the consolation game today at 1 pm.

The JV Lady Pirates defeated Troy Christian 25-10.

Abby Proffitt scored 8 points and Taylor Stevens tallied 5 points.

The Pirates will play in the championship game today at 3 pm.
