Several Chieftain wrestlers place at Troy; Rivera makes school history for Riverside

The Bellefontaine varsity wrestling team finished 8th out of 19 teams at the Troy Invitational Saturday.

Heavyweight Eric Escamilla finished third, Seth Newman (120) placed fourth, and Lance Houchin (106), Chase Wilcoxon (132), Nate Miller (170), and Joe Rindfleisch (182) finished fifth.

Joe Rivera of Riverside earned the first wrestling win in school history.

Rivera pinned Hunter Stewart of West Liberty-Salem.
