The Riverside powerlifting team competed in the Clark County Open at Kenton Ridge High School on Saturday.
For the Riverside girls:
Ashtyn Defibaugh - took 1st place in the 115lbs class 11th-12th grade.
Kelsey Barney - took 1st place in the 175lbs class 9th-10th grade.
Ashton Wooddell - took 2nd place in the 135lbs class 9th-10th grade.
Alexa Klinger - took 3rd place in the 125lbs class 9th-10th grade.
Keirstyn Severt - took 4th place in the 115lbs class 9th-10th grade.
Bailey Leonard - took 4th place in the 125lbs class 9th-10th grade.
Taylor Goings - took 4th place in the 175lbs class 11th-12th grade.
For the Riverside boys:
Kyle Plank - took 1st place in the 155lbs class 11th-12th grade.
Austin Glasgow - took 1st place in the 165lbs class 11th-12th grade.
Chris Cox - took 1st place in the 175lbs class 11th-12th grade. Chris also broke the deadlift record with a lift of 425lbs and then broke his own record with a lift of 435lbs.
John Tully - took 1st place in the 195lbs class 11th-12th grade.
Mike Schaffer - took 2nd place in the 135lbs class 11th-12th grade.
Zach Stewart (pictured above with a deadlift of 445lbs) - took 2nd place in the 225lbs class 11th-12th grade.
Collin Harbour - took 4th place in the 175lbs class 9th-10th grade.
Hunter Goings - took 8th place in the 225lbs class 9th-10th grade.
