West Liberty-Salem standout runner Meghan Vogel signed with Penn State Wednesday afternoon. Vogel will compete in cross country and track for the Nittany Lions.
Meghan chose Penn State because she liked the campus and it felt like a home away from home. Also, Penn State has one of the best coaching staffs in the nation and Vogel thinks the girls on the team are great.
While at Penn State, Meghan aims to make the traveling team during her freshman year and wants to become a better runner.
Meghan plans to study anthropology.

Over the years, Meghan has been named OHC Runner of the Year for three years in a row and an All-Ohio Runner twice in cross country and once in track. She won the 1600 meter run at last year’s state track meet and finished fifth in the state cross country meet in November.
Meghan says she is grateful for all of the community’s support she has received.
