The Bellefontaine High School Swim Team advanced ten swimmers to the OHSAA District Championship Meet.
Josh Haisley qualified in the 50 free and 100 free finishing 11th and 14th overall, while Isaiah Brady advanced as the 14th qualifier for the 100 Fly. Evan Snapp finished 25th overall in the 100 back, placing as the first alternate to Districts. The boy’s 200 Free Relay of Andy Ames, Snapp, Haisley, and Brady are moving on in the 9th qualifying spot, along with the 400 Free Relay of Cayden DeMent, Kyle Harris, Brady, and Snapp that finished 20th overall.
On the girl’s side, Jessica Miller advanced in the 50 free as the 24th qualifier. The 200 Medley and 400 Free Relays of Miller, Shelby Phillips, Katie Vetorino, and Emma Smith both move on to the District Meet, qualifying in 22nd and 15th places respectively.
The ten qualifiers will swim again next weekend at Miami University. The boy’s compete Friday and girl’s Saturday, with each competition beginning at 10:45 AM.
