Bellefontaine hosted the Tri-County League basketball tournament over the weekend.
Sixteen 5th grade teams and sixteen 6th grade teams competed.
The Bellefontaine 6th grade boys finished runner-up.
In their first game, Bellefontaine outscored Dublin 46-32.
Trevon Wilgus had 15 points and 7 rebounds. Jack Clement tallied 11 points and 6 assists.
In the quarterfinals, Bellefontaine defeated West Liberty Black 41-35.
Wilgus poured in 22 points, Clement had 8 points, Derek McNutt scored 6, and Evan Standley added 5.
In the semifinals, Bellefontaine edged Mechanicsburg 38-37.
Clement had 19 points, including five 3-pointers. Tremayne Wilson added 9 points.
In the championship game, Bellefontaine fell to Urbana 41-26.
Urbana went 14-1 this winter; Bellefontaine finished 13-2.
