A few area basketball teams played tournament games last night.
In a Division IV girls regional semifinal matchup at Tipp City, Mechanicsburg fell to Tri-Village 47-44.
The Indians rallied from an eleven-point deficit in the fourth quarter.
The Patriots led 40-29 with 6:37 left in the game.
Mechanicsburg responded with a 13-2 run to tie the game at 42-42 with just over three minutes remaining.
Jamie Dodane hit two 3-pointers and sister Brooke Dodane canned a three to force the tie.
Tri-Village held the upstart Indians to two points in the final 3:14.
Mechanicsburg won a school-record 23 games this year. They finish the season 23-4.

Tri-Village is the defending regional champ. They will play the winner of Ft. Loramie/Marion Local in the regional final Saturday night at 7:30 at Tipp City.
Division IV boys at Kettering Fairmont:
Jackson Center defeated Cincinnati Christian 64-53 for the district title.
Senior guard Alex Meyer scored 28 points. He hit 17-of-17 free throws.
The Tigers (22-4) will play St. Henry/Delphos St. John's in the regional semifinal next Tuesday at Kettering Fairmont at 5:30.
Other district finals:
Troy Christian beat Ft. Loramie 65-56.
The Redskins finish the season 13-12.
The Eagles will play unbeaten Tri-Village in the regional next Tuesday at 8 p.m.
Tri-Village cruised past Seven Hills 71-33.
