Johnson signs to play DII golf (Audio & video included)

A Benjamin Logan golf standout signed a letter of intent to play at a Division II college Wednesday afternoon.

Domonique Johnson signed to play golf for Alderson-Broaddus College in West Virginia.

Johnson chose Alderson-Broaddus because the school offered her a full scholarship and the college has a 3-2 pre-veterinarian program.

While at the college, Johnson aims to help shape the Alderson-Broaddus golf program, which will be in its first year next season.

During her high school career, Johnson has been named to the All-CBC team four times and has enjoyed playing golf with her teammates.

Domonique explains her choice.

Coach Tiann Harner says Domonique works hard, is focused, determined, competitive, and is a good athlete.

Former coach Jana Mitchell says Johnson has a good work ethic and elevates her game to her opponents' play. Johnson would even play against guys during the summer for the tougher competition. Mitchell thinks Domonique will be a competitive golfer in college.

Both coaches talk about Domonique's game.
