Updated: Chiefs, Tigers suffer shutouts; Lady Raiders earn league win – Monday scorecard

Several area ball clubs saw action Monday.

The Bellefontaine varsity baseball team fell to Tipp City 7-0.

Cody Lyons suffered the loss from the mound striking out 3.

For Tipp City, Ben Hughes did not allow any hits striking out 8 and walking 2.

The Bellefontaine Red JV baseball team lost to Tipp City 6-5.

Tyler Jones contributed 3 RBIs, Lane Kiser pitched 4 strikeouts, and John Kirby sat down 3.

The West Liberty-Salem varsity baseball team was shut out by Triad 7-0.

Kyle Crawford suffered the loss from the mound.

For Triad, Colton Young picked up the win striking out 8 and Tre McIntyre and Jacob Watkins each contributed 2 RBIs.

The West Liberty-Salem JV baseball team lost to Triad 11-0.

The Riverside varsity baseball team blanked host Lima Temple Christian 20-0.

Jake Herron fired a no-hitter to improve to 4-0.

The Pirates belted three home runs. Dustin Proffitt had three hits and two RBIs. Ross Stevens tallied a hit and two RBIs.

Riverside is 9-6 overall and 3-0 in the league.

Urbana shut out visiting Benjamin Logan 13-0.

Tyler Powell tossed a three-hitter.

For Benjamin Logan, Tanner Johnson suffered the loss.

Zane Collins had a double.

The Benjamin Logan varsity softball team defeated Urbana 15-5.

Kate Campbell doubled twice and tallied 4 RBIs, Melina Hilty recorded 4 RBIs, Courtney Stewart totaled 2 RBIs and tripled, and Taylor Coy added 2 RBIs and a double.

Stewart secured the win from the mound striking out 7.

For Urbana, Michelle Hendricks produced 2 RBIs and doubled.

The Benjamin Logan JV softball team beat Tecumseh 12-6.

Morgan Fultz recorded the win with five Ks.

Darien King had two hits. Jessica Baughman, Heather Clark, and Natalie Drumm added doubles.

The JV Raiders are 6-4.

The Indian Lake varsity softball team lost at Northwestern 11-7.

Ashley Franks had a double and a home run.

Ridgemont fell to visiting Waynesfield-Goshen 13-6.

Whitney Arseneau had a double and a triple, Keysten Creamer recorded two hits and an RBI, and Katie Furer tallied a double and two RBI's.

The Indian Lake Middle School softball team defeated Triad in a five-inning run spread.

Hailey Wallace and Tatum Reprogle shared the pitching duties.

Wallace was 3-for3 with a triple, Lauren Anderson recorded a triple and a single, and Terrin Bok added a single.

The Lakers are 7-1.
