Wilson, Burton lead Chiefs past Kenton Ridge - Baseball and softball scoreboard

The Bellefontaine varsity baseball team defeated host Kenton Ridge 4-0 Friday to snap a three-game losing streak.

Senior Brandon Wilson fired a complete game. He scattered seven hits and struck out four.

Nick Burton led the attack with two hits and an RBI. Drake Roebuck and Jordan Baughman each drove in a run.

The Chiefs move to 10-4 overall and 5-3 in the CBC.

Kenton Ridge is 6-7, 1-6.

The Bellefontaine Red JV baseball team edged Kenton Ridge 3-2 in nine innings.

Freshman Andrew Mitchell delivered a game-winning RBI single in the bottom of the ninth. He also belted a triple in the seventh inning.

Lane Kiser worked three scoreless innings of relief to earn the win.

Starter Tyler Jones went six innings and recorded ten Ks.

The Riverside JV baseball team handled Mechanicsburg 16-4 in five innings.

Dillon Roof tossed a four-hitter.

Shawn Crawford had two hits with a double and two RBIs, Roof tallied two hits and two RBIs, and Connor Cotterman and Tyler Daniels each added two hits.

In varsity softball, Ridgemont fell to Hardin Northern 6-2.

Whitney Arseneau was 3-for-4 with a stolen base. Toshia Vanbuskirk and Keysten Creamer had two hits apiece.

Jr. High softball:

Benjamin Logan Gold defeated Kenton 6-2.

Kinzie Jones fired a two-hitter with five Ks.

Brieanne Frazier had two hits and Tahlsa Bowsher drove in three runs.

Indian Lake beat Benjamin Logan Black 5-2.

Kati Bowsher earned the win with twelve strikeouts.

Brooke Lewis belted a double. Bowsher, Morgan Evilsizor, Tatum Reprogle, and Lauren Anderson each added singles.

The Lakers are 10-1.
