Urbana University women’s lacrosse player Emily Boerger, pictured, (Milford Center, Fairbanks) earned All-GLIAC Second Team honors following a record-breaking senior season.
Boerger was Urbana’s lone representative on the GLIAC All-Conference teams. The Blue Knights (3-11) finished seventh in the new nine-team women’s lacrosse league.
Boerger set single season school records for points (52), goals (50), goals per game (3.85), shots per game (7.85) and shot percentage (.490).
In a win at Walsh University earlier this season, Boerger tied single game school records for goals (8) and points (9). She finished 7th in the country in NCAA Division II in goals per game.
The three-year starting attacker leaves Urbana as the all-time leader in points (121), goals (114), shots (276) and game-winning goals (3).
As a collegiate rookie in 2011, Boerger earned Honorable Mention All-American honors.
