The Bellefontaine Easton Water Solutions Acme baseball team split a doubleheader against host Anthony Wayne on Saturday.
Bellefontaine won the first game 3-0, but lost the nightcap 3-1.
In the opener, Joe Oliver fired a four-hit shutout with nine strikeouts and no walks.
Andrew Mitchell, Jordan Baughman, Nathan Langenfeld, and Nick Ruble each had two hits. Connor Burton belted a double.
Bellefontaine opened the scoring in the first when Baughman singled to score Burton.
In the fourth inning, Clay Russell singled in Oliver and Langenfeld plated Russell.
Easton Water dropped the second game 3-1 despite strong pitching from Kyle Bruner, who struck out six in six innings of work. Anthony Wayne capitalized on a pair of fielding miscues on one play to score two of its three runs.
Bellefontaine's offense managed just three hits and scored its only run in the fourth when Baughman singled in Mitchell.
Easton Water is now 3-1 on the season and will play at Beavercreek High School Tuesday night.
