Several area ball clubs competed over the weekend.
The Ohio Playmakers 13U travel baseball team competed in the Harold Butt Memorial Tournament in Hilliard.
The Playmakers won all five games, including wins over 2nd-place Springfield Heat and 3rd-place Royalton from Cleveland.
The Playmakers improve to 26-11.
The team will be completing its season with tournaments in Pittsburgh, Cincinnati, and the Great Lake World Series in Findlay.
Benjamin Logan boys on the team are Nick Brown, Cole Jones, and Cole Waugh.
The Laker Pride 12U softball team won the Lady Mitts Marysville tournament.
Bethany Golliday, Megan Neal, and Nya Worrell led the Pride from the mound.
The Laker Pride finished with a combined batting average of .675.
Sierra Lensman belted 2 home runs, and Nya Worrell and Kassidy Crockett each added a homer.
During the previous weekend, the Pride finished 3rd at the Kenton Koas tournament.
The team competes again on June 28th through the 30th at the West Liberty Blow Out tournament.
The Laker Pride team is Tiffany Clark, Sierra Lensman, Nya Worrell, Bethany Golliday, Paige Schindewolf, Kassidy Crockett, Meagan Neal, Raelyn Clary, Annabelle Bryant, and Kaylee Shelton.
The team is coached by Brent Golliday, Darrell Crockett, and Gary Bryant.
The Marysville Sabotage 10U softball team won the 9th annual Mad River Classic in West Liberty over the weekend.
Three Logan County girls are on the team, including Gracie Estes, Kaylee Henderson, and Kenzie Lewis.
The team is sponsored by Dr. Boy, Dr. Heydinger, and Lewis Construction.
