Updated: Bellefontaine Acme rolls at Troy; Scott pitches Lions Club to big win – Thursday scorecard

Area ball clubs were in action Thursday.

The Bellefontaine Easton Water Acme team rolled at Troy 12-2 in five innings.

Joe Oliver scattered four hits over three innings to pick up the win with relief help from Tyler Jones and Connor Burton.

Oliver, Gauge Hayman, Jordan Baughman, and Nick Burton all scored twice in the winning effort. Nick Burton added a double.

Bellefontaine is now 6-1 on the season and will play a doubleheader at home Friday against Graham with the first game starting at 6 p.m.

Bellefontaine Jr. ACME defeated Troy 9-3.

Pony League:

Bellefontaine Lions Club topped St. Paris 10-5.

Turner Scott pitched a complete game striking out 16.

Dillon Robb recorded 3 hits with 3 RBIs.

Bellefontaine Maple Leaf handled Belle Center 12-1.

Nicklaus Lyons fired a one-hitter with 15 Ks.

Jerome Smith had a home run and three RBIs.

Clayton Sopher recorded two hits and two RBIs.

Lyons and Tweh Coleman each tallied two hits.

Mason Plikerd had Belle Center's lone hit.

Little League:

Huntsville #1 Logan County Co-op defeated DeGraff 8-6.

Winning pitcher Bryce Ramsey had four strikeouts. Aaron Malarkey came on in relief and struck out five.

Malarkey led the offense with three hits and two doubles.

Ramsey doubled twice and Matthew Risner ripped a double.

Caleb Taylor, Jake Zarnosky, Colin Powers, and Adain Hartley each added hits.

For DeGraff, Harley Asbury smacked a triple.

Ajay Stapleton and Kameron Schlumbohm each had two hits.

Bellefontaine #2 Dairy Queen outscored Zanesfield #2 Firehouse Pizza 15-12.

Simon Stolly was the winning pitcher.

Phil Francis had a triple and three runs.

Kaylor Ransbottom, Nik Feasel, and Kyle Carper each scored twice.

Youth softball:

14U:

Lakeview #1 Osgood State Bank beat West Liberty 18-7.

Mercedes Brown and Tatum Reprogle combined for five strikeouts.

Brown earned the win.

Meliesha Hengsteler blasted a grand slam, Reprogle had three hits and three RBIs, and Victoria Wauben, Erin Whitcher, and Brown drove in two runs apiece.

Bellefontaine Area Church Softball League:

Rushsylvania Church of Christ played a doubleheader at Gretna Fellowship Park and won both games.

Rushsylvania beat Calvary Baptist #2 27-6 and won over Huntsville United Methodist Church 28-23.
