A few youth teams were in action over the weekend.
In Acme, Bellefontaine Easton Water swept doubleheaders against Graham and Lima Central Catholic at Blue Jacket Park.
On Friday, Easton Water beat Graham 12-10 in the opener and 9-7 in the nightcap.
In the first game, Jarrett Beck went 2-for-3 with a triple and two RBIs. Nick Burton added a two-run double. Gauge Hayman and Joe Oliver both scored two runs.
Cam Henry earned the victory pitching five innings and striking out five. Nick Burton recorded the final four outs to pick up the save.
In the second game, Connor Burton broke a 7-7 tie in the bottom of the fifth with a two-out, two-run single to push Bellefontaine to the win. Hayman was 2-for-3 with three runs scored while Nick Burton, Jordan Baughman, and Drake Roebuck all doubled. Oliver scored twice for the winners.
Connor Burton picked up the win in relief of starter Jake Kennedy and Nick Burton notched his second save of the night.
On Saturday, Bellefontaine edged Lima Central Catholic in the opener 3-2 behind strong pitching from John Kirby who fired a complete game three-hitter. He also struck out seven and walked three.
Hayman was 2-for-3 to lead Bellefontaine. Auston Benton's ground ball scored Henry with the go-ahead run in the fifth inning.
In the second game, Oliver scattered four hits while striking out five and walking one as Bellefontaine rolled to a 12-2 win in five innings. Hayman went 3-for-4 with two RBIs. Roebuck was 2-for-3 with a double and two RBIs while Baughman went 3-for-3. Kennedy was 2-for-2 with three RBIs, AJ Gorham was 2-for-3 with two runs scored, and Oliver added two RBIs.
Bellefontaine improves to 10-1. They will visit Vandalia-Butler on Tuesday.
West Liberty #2 beat West Liberty #1 16-4 Sunday afternoon.
Dominic Smith was the winning pitcher.
Austin Miller had three hits and five RBIs.
Dusty Moell added three hits.
The Bellefontaine Vipers 10U travel baseball team placed third at a tournament in Fostoria.
Alex Pulfer picked up two wins.
Carter Reese, Chadan Stoner, Caleb Wright, and Alex Pulfer had multiple hit games.
Cameron Pulfer recorded four doubles for the tournament.
The Marysville Sabotage 10U travel team won the Urbana Classic.
Three Logan County girls play for the Sabotage, including Gracie Estes, Kenzie Lewis, and Kaylee Henderson.
The team has won four tournaments this summer and finished runner-up once.
They are sponsored by Dr. Boy and Heydinger along with Lewis Construction.
