Roebuck leads Easton Water Solutions to tournament win - Tuesday scoreboard

A few local youth teams hit the diamond Tuesday night.

The Bellefontaine Easton Water Solutions Acme baseball team blanked Riverside 9-0 in the opening round of the sectional tournament at Blue Jacket Park.

Drake Roebuck turned in a dominant pitching performance to earn the win.

He struck out ten in five innings.

Easton Water Solutions (16-3) will play Indian Lake or Triad in the semifinals Friday night at 8:30 at Blue Jacket Park.

Pony League:

Ridgemont defeated West Liberty #2 7-5.

Jace McGue fired a complete game with 16 Ks.

Brandon Bennett smacked an over-the-fence grand slam.

Tony Munafo tallied a double and a single.

The Benjamin Logan varsity softball team continues to roll in the Sidney Summer League.

The Raiders won two games last night, defeating Houston 14-2 and routing Versailles 22-2.

In the first game, pitchers Kate Campbell, Kinzie Jones, and Natalie Drumm combined for seven strikeouts.

Ashley Franks had a home run and two RBIs, Taylor Coy recorded a triple and three RBIs, Shelby Harvey was 3-for-3 with two RBIs, Sydney Evans had three hits and two RBIs, and Kate Campbell belted a triple.

In the second game, Campbell tossed a five-hitter with 13 Ks.

Kinzie Jones had three hits with a double and five RBIs, Taylor Coy had two doubles and drove in four runs, Taylor Quay recorded a double and three RBIs, and Campbell added a double.

Benjamin Logan is 7-1 this summer.
