Zanesfield, Belle Center win county championships

Zanesfield #1 Easton Lawn and Landscaping capped off a perfect season Tuesday night to win the Logan County Coach Pitch Postseason Tournament.

Zanesfield handled East Liberty #2 17-1, Ridgemont #1 13-0, Lakeview #2 17-1, Huntsville #2 17-0, and East Liberty #2 again in the championship game 16-5.

Zanesfield went 17-0 this summer.

In T-Ball, Belle Center #1 (Belle Center Air Tool) defeated West Liberty #3 BOSS Tuesday night to capture the Logan County Postseason Tournament and finish the season 16-0.

Team members include Landon Stoodt, Bryden Morris, Carter Lyden, Delaney Miracle, Skylar Miracle, Cooper Hall, Noah Stanford, Clayton Jenkins, Logan Kensler, Riley Davis, McKinley Hall, and Kelly Forsythe.

The team is coached by Wes Hall, Kevin Stoodt, and Ryan Stanford.

Runner-up West Liberty #3 BOSS went 11-2 this summer.

The coaches would like to thank Brilee Joseph, Carissa Cozad, Troy Bradley, Taryn Bradley, Reese Oder, Isaiah Reminder, Hayden Sanford, Brevin Louden, Silas Kauffman, and Jackson Steider for an outstanding season.

Pony League:

ELM (East Liberty/Middleburg) shut out Belle Center 5-0.

Christian Hardman and Micah Anderson combined to throw a four-hitter with five strikeouts.

Bellefontaine Lions Club defeated Exchange Club 18-15.

Javon Warner went 4-for-4 with a triple, Ryan Sebring and Reid Gleason each had three hits, and Hayden Smith had two hits.

For Exchange Club, Sam Martz had 3 hits with an inside-the-park home run.

Little League:

Huntsville #1 Logan County Co-op edged Washington Reichert Excavating 9-8.

Aaron Malarkey earned the win pitching 4 innings and striking out 10.

Noah Hurley struck out two and Matthew Risner tallied a strikeout.

Malarkey and Julien Barnes each belted a triple.

Malarkey, Risner, Caleb Taylor, and Colin Powers scored 2 runs each.

For Washington, Chris Murphy had a double and scored twice.

Bellefontaine #2 Dairy Queen defeated Ridgeway 11-3.

Phil Francis and Simon Stolly combined for eleven strikeouts in the win.

Francis led the offense with a home run and a double.

Stolly recorded two hits and Derek Stonerock scored two runs.

Bellefontaine Area Church Softball League:

Reality Outreach Church #1 topped Reality Outreach Church # 2 20-15.

Calvary Baptist #1 defeated Rushsylvania Church of Christ 17-5.
