Updated: Maple Leaf, Ridgemont pick up Pony League wins – Thursday scores

Several area ball clubs were in action Thursday.

Pony League:

Bellefontaine #3 Maple Leaf edged East Liberty 5-4.

Nick Kurtz went the distance striking out nine in the win.

Hayes Roebuck recorded two hits and Nicklaus Lyons drove in the winning run with the bases loaded.

For East Liberty, Josh Whitten had two hits.

Ridgemont beat Bellefontaine Exchange 13-3 in five innings.

Cade McKinley and Jace McGue combined for nine strikeouts.

McKinley belted a 3-run-over-the-fence homer, two doubles, and a single. Cameron Smith added a double and a single.

Bellefontaine Lions Club ran past DeGraff 17-1 in four innings.

Turner Scott fired a two-hitter with ten Ks.

Javon Warner had two hits with a triple, Ryan Sebring and Turner Scott smacked doubles, Christian Kelley belted a triple, and Colin Palmer added two hits.

Little League:

Huntsville #1 Logan County Co-op outscored Bellefontaine #2 Dairy Queen 18-15.

Noah Hurley struck out four in two innings to earn the win.

Aaron Malarkey delivered a home run and a double, Matthew Risner tallied two hits, and Jake Zarnosky, Julien Barnes, and Aiden Hartley each added a hit.

Huntsville finishes the season 10-7.

For Bellefontaine, Phil Francis had three hits and Simon Stolly recorded two hits.

Farm League:

Rushsylvania #1 Pheasants Forever topped West Liberty #2 9-8 in first-round tournament play.

Landyn Inglis ripped two triples, Ammon Miller tripled and singled, Noah Comer tallied two hits, and Carter Bray added a hit.

Hayden Kennaw earned the win and Ammon Miller recorded the save.

Hunter Kennaw, Hayden Kennaw, and Miller combined for 12 strikeouts.

Bellefontaine Area Church Softball League:

Calvary Baptist #2 played a doubleheader.

Hopewell United Methodist Church outscored Calvary Baptist # 2 6-4.

Bellefontaine First Church of God #1 won over Calvary Baptist #2 17-4.

Indian Lake Co-Ed Softball League:

E.M.T. Photography edged D.J. Scrap Metals 7-6.

Snows Detailing blanked D.J. Scrap Metals 21-0.

Henry Bozwell sparked the winners with a home run.
