The Bellefontaine varsity girls tennis team defeated visiting Jonathan Alder 3-2 Monday afternoon for their first win of the season.
Bellefontaine won all three singles matches in straight sets.
Kiersten Daum won 6-4, 6-2 in the first singles match.
Kenzie Collinsworth was down 4-5 in the second set and won three consecutive games to win her match.
Hannah Weimer won easily 6-1 and 6-2 at third singles.
In first doubles, Hannah Vance and Traysa Downing lost 6-7 (3-7 tie break) 3-6.
In second doubles, Bellefontaine lost by forfeit.
The Chiefs are now 1-3 and are back in action Tuesday afternoon against visiting Northwestern.
