Several local boys and girls high school golf teams hit the links Tuesday.
West Liberty-Salem defeated host Greeneview 156-179 at Sebastian Hills.
Nick Sims was medalist with a 36, Ethan McBean followed with a 39, Jacob Rutan fired a 40, Kannon Stillings carded a 41, Casey Gay shot a 43, and Dillon Callicoat added a 47.
The Tigers are 2-0 in league play. They will visit Springfield Catholic on Wednesday.
The WLS JV team beat the Rams.
Trevor Davis fired a 48, Logan Brown had a 53, Michael Frederick shot a 55, and Jake Woodruff recorded a 57.
Bellefontaine shot 157 at Liberty Hills Golf Course to defeat Urbana who shot 175 and Benjamin Logan who shot 180 in a tri-match.
The Chiefs were led by medalist Cody Lyons with a 36. Nate Langenfeld and Connor Adelsberger helped the cause with a solid pair of 40s. Cody Hullinger added a 41.
Benjamin Logan was led by Grant Ricketts' 40. Garrett Dunn and TJ Fink added 46s. Tanner Rader and Colin Headings both shot 48.
Dillon Knueven was low for Urbana with a 40.
The Chieftain junior varsity defeated Urbana 201-211. Grant Brown led the way with a 43. Javon Warner added a 46. Josiah Jester chipped in with a 55. Chris Ray shot a 57.
For the second night in a row, the Indian Lake Lady Lakers set a school 9-hole scoring record but lost to Tipp City 163-171 at Cherokee Hills. Sean Pusey was low for Indian Lake with a 38. Kylie Speicher shot 40, Morgan Barnett 41, and Murphy Oberle 52. Tipp City’s Lindsey Murray was medalist with a 35.
The Bellefontaine Lady Chieftains were also at Cherokee Hills and defeated Riverside 206-212. Chelsea McLaughlin continued her good play taking medalist honors with a 44. Allie Skelly shot 53, Kathleen Coakley added a 54, and Emily Fulmer was fourth for the Chiefs with a 55.
Destany Jones and Monica Hurley both shot 49 for Riverside.
Benjamin Logan fell to Urbana 210-291.
The Raiders' Morgan Fultz shot a 47 to share medalist honors with Urbana's Taylor Lewis.
Benjamin Logan will play at Cassell Hills against Tipp City on Wednesday.
