Updated: Lady Chiefs win home opener - Volleyball scoreboard

A few local volleyball teams were in action Thursday night.

The Bellefontaine varsity won their home opener by defeating Kenton 25-18, 25-17, 22-25, and 25-13.

Jazmyn Haley had 16 kills and 9 digs, Jordan Lininger delivered 32 assists and 13 digs, Kenzie Brunswick tallied 12 kills, 15 digs, and 3 solo blocks, Kameren Haley recorded 10 kills and 10 digs, Carley Strzalka had 8 digs, and Georgia Cooper added 7 digs.

Linginer, Strzalka, and Michaela Baker were perfect serving.

The Chiefs are 2-0.

The JV Chiefs beat the Wildcats 25-18, 25-20.

The Bellefontaine freshman team lost 25-18, 22-25, and 22-25.

Bellefontaine will travel to Dayton Meadowdale Saturday.

The Indian Lake varsity fell at Botkins in straight games.

The scores were 25-14, 25-18, and 25-17.

Michelle Grider had a team-high 5 blocks.

The JV Lakers lost in two, dropping the second game 28-26.

Hannah Kilgore was a standout from the serving line.

The Benjamin Logan Middle School volleyball teams traveled to Ridgemont.

The 8th grade Lady Raiders won in 3 sets: 15-25, 25-23, and 25-15.

Stanleigh Archer totaled 10 aces and 8 kills and Maddie Jones tallied 4 kills and 3 assists.

During the third set, Brooke Cotner and Kinzie Jones delivered great passes.

The 7th grade Lady Raiders won in 3 sets: 9-25, 25-13, and 27-25.

Sydney Kossel fired 13 aces and Baylie LeVan served 6 aces.

The junior high Lady Raiders will face Bellefontaine Monday.
