Updated: Raiders beat Pirates in Volley for the Cure; Tigers spike Indian Lake

Benjamin Logan beat Riverside in straight sets on Saturday evening in the annual Volley for the Cure match, improving to 7-2, by scores of 25-21, 25-13, and 25-14.  

Leading the way for the Raiders were Alex Thompson with 6 kills, 2 blocks, and 5 aces, Jennifer Poling with 8 kills and 10 digs, Taylor Quay with 8 kills, and Caitie Johnson with 4 points and 2 aces.

For the Pirates, Jessica Davis had 5 kills, Kerri Meade 3 kills and 2 aces, Aubrey Stephens 9 points, Lauryn Davis 5 points, and Sam Egbert 8 assists.

Riverside falls to 1-7 on the season.  

The JV Raiders beat Riverside in 2 sets. On the night, Darrian Bricker recorded 12 points with 6 aces, Autumn Walborn had 5 kills, and Alexia Boling added 5 aces.  

Benjamin Logan will travel to Springfield Shawnee on Tuesday.  

Benjamin Logan would like to thank everyone for attending and helping both schools raise money for the Susan G. Komen Breast Cancer Awareness Foundation. As of Saturday night, Volley for the Cure has raised over $2,000.

The Jackson Center varsity team swept host Indian Lake 25-17, 25-12, and 25-20.

The JV Tigers beat the Lakers 25-13, 25-13.

Indian Lake will visit Tipp City Tuesday.
