Tough night for high school soccer teams

Several area high school soccer teams played league games Monday night.

The Bellefontaine varsity boys tied visiting Urbana 3-3 at Dodd Stadium.

Lance Alinson, Aaron Wisner, and Matt Baughman each scored a goal.

The Chiefs are 2-2-1 overall and 1-1-1 in the CBC.

There was no JV game.

Bellefontaine will visit Benjamin Logan Wednesday at 5:30.

The Indian Lake varsity boys fell at Tecumseh 9-0.

The Arrows jumped out to a 5-0 halftime lead.

Tyler Rode made 7 saves and teammate Elijah Knief recorded 3 saves.

The Lakers are 5-3, 2-1.

Tecumseh moves to 5-0, 3-0.

The JV Lakers lost 3-0.

Indian Lake will host Dayton Stebbins Wednesday at 5:30.

The Benjamin Logan varsity boys lost at Kenton Ridge 3-1.

Conner Greenbaum scored on a throw in from Cole Pelger with three seconds remaining in the half.

The Cougars responded with three goals in the second half.

The Raiders are 1-5.

The JV Raiders lost 1-0.

Benjamin Logan outshot Kenton Ridge 14-5 and failed to convert on five breakaway chances in the second half.

The reserve team is 4-3.

The Calvary Christian varsity boys team defeated the West Liberty-Salem JV team 4-1.

Alex McGillis had two goals. Ian McGillis and Peter Printz each added a goal.

Ian and Maddie McGillis each delivered an assist.

Kyler Klingler in midfield along with the backline of Clayton Slemmons, Ben Tanner, Alan Labelle, and Dan Salmonowicz played well.

The Spartans will play Springfield Emmanuel Christian Academy Saturday night.

The Benjamin Logan varsity girls team lost to Kenton Ridge 6-1.

Captain Mylee Monterroza scored for the Raiders.

Benjamin Logan is 4-2-2. They will visit Bellefontaine on Wednesday night at 7:15.

Jr. High:

West Liberty #2 beat West Liberty #1 3-1.

Thomas Allen and Jarred Bowden scored in the win.

For West Liberty #1, Deirdre McGill scored a goal.

In 10U action, Calvary Christian blanked North Logan #1 4-0 on Saturday.

Hayden Neely had a hat trick and Trever Berry added a goal.

Michael Rostefer and Calvin Ong each recorded an assist.

Wylie Harbour earned the shutout.
