West Liberty-Salem stays unbeaten in league play; Boys and girls golf scores

West Liberty-Salem boys teamThe West Liberty-Salem varsity boys golf team defeated Northeastern Tuesday night at National Links 155-177 to run their unbeaten league streak to 11.

Kannon Stillings’ 37 earned him medalist honors.He became the fourth different Tiger to post the lowest score in a match this season. Ethan McBean was close behind with a 38, Nick Sims had a 39, and Jake Rutan posted a 41. Dillon Callicoat shot a 44. Casey Gay had a 46.   

The JV Tigers beat Calvary Christian 201-226.

Logan Brown was low with a 48. Zach Smith, Trevor Davis, and Jake Woodruff posted 51s. Michael Frederick had a 58.

The Riverside boys team finished third in a tri-match with Ridgemont and Lima Perry at Veterans Memorial Park in Kenton. Lima Perry won the match with a 182, Ridgemont was second with a 193. Riverside posted a 209.

The Pirates Landon Kelsey continued his steady season with a 48. Derek Kobylack was next with a 49, Ross Stevens and Jared Trabert shot 56s, and Luke Lowery chipped in with a 63.

For Ridgemont, Devin Mouser earned medalist honors with a 41. Cole Weyant shot a 42, Wyatt James a 53, James Randell a 57, Zach Jenkins a 61, and Dalton Tackett a 67.

The Indian Lake girls scratched out another win defeating Greenon 197-206.

Sean Pusey was medalist at 44. Kylie Speicher shot a 50, Morgan Barnett a 51, Ashley Wall a 52, and Murphy Oberle a 57.

The Bellefontaine girls beat Waynesfield-Goshen 194-241.

Medalist for the match was Allie Skelly with a 46. Chelsea McLaughlin was next with a 48. Kathleen Coakley shot a 49, Sarah Hall a 51, Emily Fulmer a 55, and Haley Watkins a 55.

The Benjamin Logan girls lost to Springfield Shawnee in a match played on the back nine at Tree Links.

Morgan Fultz was low for the Raiders shooting an impressive 43.The girls will face Greenon and Springfield Catholic Wednesday at Tree Links.

The Riverside girls lost 206-239 to Greenon at Cherokee Hills.

Monica Hurley shot a team-best 50.
