Updated: Lady Tigers soccer shuts out Triad – Tuesday scores

Area soccer teams hit the pitch Tuesday evening.

The West Liberty-Salem varsity girls shut out Triad 10-0.

Morgan Freyhof scored 3 goals, Destiny Kolata totaled 2 goals, and Annika Wolfe, Madison Oelker, Christy Kauffman, Catherine Williams, and Ashleigh Gieseke each added a goal.

Wolfe delivered 3 assists and Jocelyn Wilson, Mary Shank, Freyhof, and Gieseke each contributed an assist.

April Kelley recorded 2 saves in goal.

The Lady Tigers improve to 4-1, 3-0.

The West Liberty-Salem varsity boys beat Triad 2-1.

Eli Woodruff and Byler Williamson each scored a goal.

Garrett Conklin delivered an assist.

Sam Warye had five saves in goal.

The Tigers are 2-2-1. They will host state-ranked Springfield Catholic Thursday at 7:30.

Jr. High:

Calvary Christian defeated Benjamin Logan Gold 8-1.

Rylan Studebaker scored 2 goals and Josh Kilgore, Cody Kuhn, Noah Labelle, Tyler Reinhard, Jon Salmonowicz, and Daniel Wilt each added a goal.

Garrett Criner, Kilgore, Labelle, Studebaker, and Wilt each tallied an assist.

For Benjamin Logan Gold, Ray McCormick recorded a goal.

Calvary Christian will face Bellefontaine Thursday.

Bellefontaine blanked West Liberty #2 2-0.

Robby Weikart and Sean McClain each scored a goal.

McClain also added an assist.

Goalies Drew Jackson and Anne West recorded the shutout.

West Liberty #1 beat Benjamin Logan Black 4-2.

Jacob VanHorn and Laine Godwin each scored.

Godwin and Taylor Lauck delivered assists.

The Tigers will play Calvary Christian on Saturday.
