The Bellefontaine varsity boys team competed in the 14-team Troy Invitational Saturday, placing 7th. Out of the field of 207 runners, Ryan Dunn led the way with a 23rd-place finish.

Bellefontaine Middle School competed at the George Rogers Clark Invitational on Saturday.
The Jr. Lady Chiefs finished 8th out of 11 teams. Leading the way for the team were Aubrey Stolly in 3rd, Brooke Champion in 27th, Bailey Morales in 51st, Justine Scherer in 77th, and Haley Price in 80th.
Other strong finishers included Kaitey Chervenak in 85th, MacKenzie Schwartz in 89th, Caroline Eader in 101st, and McKenzie Haley in 105th.
The Jr. Chieftain boys finished 9th out of 16 teams. The team was led by Domonic Wilson in 5th, Tate Schmittauer in 41st, Michael Horvath in 44th, Jacob Karg in 52nd, Logan Lamb in 87th, Trey Henderson in 101st, Gage Buffkin in 119th, and Weston Rose in 120th.
Both teams are back in action at the 4th Annual Jr. Chieftain Invitational at Southview Park on Tuesday. There will be an elementary fun run at 5:00 PM before the Jr. races begin. Registration is available before the race for $5.
Indian Lake Middle School teams ran on Saturday at the Sidney Invite, with the Lady Laker Harriers finishing in 4th place as a team.
Tommy Meek finished in 37th out of 55 runners for the boys and Wyatt Maine finished 54th.
Deanna Fry led the Lady Lakers, finishing in 24th out of 47 runners, Ciara Wall 25th, MaryAnn Wahl 28th, Mollie Swygart 32nd, Katlyn Pence 36th, Kiley Titus 37th, Nina Harris 43th, Kerstin Smith 46th, and Taylor Whalen 47th.
The next meet is Tuesday for the Bellefontaine Chieftain Middle School Meet.
Calvary Christian competed in the Waynesfield-Goshen Invitational Saturday morning.
Brit’tani Brown stood out for the Jr. High, with a 4th-place finish. Peter Kratz (5) and Joe Young (10) both netted top 10 finishes.
For the senior high girls, Maria Salmonowicz continued her strong season with 6th-place finish.
The Riverside teams also ran at Waynesfield-Goshen.
Ella Jackson led the effort with a 2nd-place finish.
Emily Teague and Rita Winner also ran well.
Ben Rappold, Brett Rappold, Lukens Dalton, and Blaine Walter paced the boys team.
Jr. High standout Jaxon Heath finished second.
