Updated: Raiders at Sherri Appelfeller Classic - Saturday volleyball scoreboard

Benjamin Logan went 1-2 at the Sherri Appelfeller Classic hosted by Marion Elgin on Saturday. The Raiders fall to 12-6 overall.

In the first match, Benjamin Logan lost to tournament champion Marion Elgin 25-17, 25-23.

In the second match, the Raiders beat Delaware Hayes 25-11, 25-20.

In their final match of the day, the Raiders lost to Hopewell-Louden 25-19, 25-18.

On the day, the Raiders were paced by Taylor Quay with 21 kills, Alex Thompson with 18 kills, and Jennifer Poling with 10 kills. Tayler Rose dished out 37 assists and Darien King recorded 17 digs.

Benjamin Logan is back in action on Tuesday, traveling to Bellefontaine for a CBC crossover match. The freshman game starts at 4:30.

Jr. High finals:

The West Liberty-Salem 7th grade team swept Graham 25-17, 25-10.

Breann Koons had 15 points and Hallie Strapp recorded 9 points.

The West Liberty-Salem 8th grade team defeated Graham 25-21, 25-22.

Macy Murphy had 11 points. Allie Yoder and Tory Cordell each tallied 5 points.

The Indian Lake 7th grade team went 1-1 in a tri-match.

The Lakers fell to Benjamin Logan, then bounced back to beat Bellefontaine.

For the day, Kelly Shoffner served 13 aces, Macey Hurley recorded 12 aces, and Kaylee Foreman added 7 aces.

Shoffner, Hurley, Nya Worrell, Olivia Reasor, Celese Wischmeyer, and Nikki Ricketts recorded kills.

The Indian Lake 8th grade team rallied past Benjamin Logan 13-25, 25-10, and 25-11.

Aubrey Grider led the attack with 11 aces and 2 kills.

Jade Lewis recorded 4 aces and 2 kills. Skylr Timbrook and Jenni Kaffenbarger each delivered 3 kills.

The Lakers swept Bellefontaine 25-17, 25-20.

Libby Cotterman had 3 kills, 3 aces, and a solo block, Jenni Kaffenbarger recorded 3 kills and a solo block, and Lauren Anderson tallied 2 kills and 3 aces.

After losing to Indian Lake, the Benjamin Logan 8th grade team swept Bellefontaine 25-18, 25-10.

Kinzie Jones had 6 kills, 8 aces, and 5 assists, Stanleigh Archer recorded 6 kills and 6 aces, and Avery Braun added 2 aces and a kill.
