Local karting standout Jerome Wickham made a statement in Tennessee this weekend, dominating the Music City Kartplex Season Opener in Shelbyville. Competing in the Rhythm and Race Series LO206 Sportsman Class, Wickham swept the field—earning pole position, winning the heat race, and taking the checkered flag in the final during his first-ever visit to the track.
Now entering his third year of karting, the Bellefontaine native is quickly becoming a name to watch. Wickham hopes to carry this momentum into the start of the KRA Race Series at New Castle Motorsports Park this coming weekend.
Wickham competes with 12³ Motorsports, which just announced a new partnership with Brewfontaine – The Tap of Ohio for the 2025 season. Known for its craft beer,
gourmet sandwiches, wine on tap, and handcrafted cocktails, Brewfontaine is helping fuel Jerome’s pursuit of racing success.
As part of that support, Brewfontaine will host a Dine & Donate fundraiser on Monday, April 21. A portion of the day’s sales will go directly toward Jerome’s 2025 race season, helping cover essential costs like tires, travel, and entry fees. The effort will also support Jerome’s advocacy for XLH, a rare metabolic bone disease he personally lives with and raises awareness for through his racing journey.
