LOGAN COUNTY, Ohio — United Silent Majority has formed two new community advisory boards focused on homelessness and mental health, with meetings scheduled to begin in January.

The Homelessness Advisory Board and Mental Health Advisory Board are composed of community members, professionals and individuals with lived experience. The boards will identify gaps in existing systems, develop practical solutions and present recommendations to elected officials and the public.

“These boards were created because the status quo is not working,” said Dustin Ragland, founder of United Silent Majority. “Our goal is to identify real problems, develop real solutions, and put them in front of the people who have the power to act.”

The Homelessness Advisory Board will examine issues including the lack of affordable housing, while the Mental Health Advisory Board will focus on access to care and crisis response. The boards will operate independently while collaborating where issues overlap.
