The Logan County Libraries would like to invite you to attend the celebration of the library’s 125th Anniversary on Wednesday, May 6, 2026, from 11 AM to 1 PM at the Knowlton Library, located at 220 N. Main Street, Bellefontaine, OH. This is a great milestone for our public library and for the Logan County community. We are proud of the fact that the library was chartered in 1901 and is still going strong after 125 years! It takes great collaboration from our library trustees, administration, staff, and our community to make the library such a success.
The celebration on May 6 includes a special birthday party story hour for kids, burying a time capsule, family photos with Pete the Cat, fun crafts for kids, giveaways, light refreshments, library cards with our anniversary design (available while supplies last), and a special display of the library’s long history in Logan County!
Additional dates for our week-long celebration include Monday, May 4, for the Edible Book Cake Contest, with prizes; Tuesday, May 5, for the Library’s History Presentation with Beth Marshall from the Logan County History Center; and Thursday, May 7, for a Family Program with Indiana Wild, a hands-on, interactive live animal show.
